Steven R. Feldman, MD & Veronica K. Emmerich – Will It Ever Go Away?
COVID-19. It’s still here, and the world is still asking, Will It Ever Go Away? – the title of an informative and understandable book by Steven R. Feldman, MD and Veronica K. Emmerich. Practical Answers to Your Questions About COVID-19 is its subtitle.
As the virus made its entrance into the world and began attacking its human inhabitants, this dynamic duo had the foresight to see the impending pandemic chaos from an alternate point of view, one that speaks to the general public and at-risk patients. Assisted by their team of medical students, Dr. Feldman and Ms. Emmerich got to work on compiling and presenting clear, step-by-step information for people who are inundated and confused with complicated, overwhelming explanations of COVID-19, how it spreads, and how to control it. In Will It Ever Go Away? a precise question and answer format provides a comfort level to the reader, allowing time to absorb each aspect of the disease and our relationship to it.
Coronavirus: Basics and Background is the beginning section of Will It Ever Go Away? The first question is, What is a coronavirus? It’s an obvious first question; however, if you ask a random person, the likelihood of getting a correct answer is slim. Beyond the fundamental questions and answers, Dr. Feldman and Ms. Emmerich address specific concerns. People have asked them if it’s safe to vacuum or if they are wearing their masks properly. We think we know, but do we? The broad spectrum of topics continues and finishes with chapters titled Vaccines, Reopening, and Sanity.
Will It Ever Go Away? is endorsed by Dr. John W. Sanders, chief of Infectious Diseases at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He gets countless COVID-19-related emails and calls from patients and people in all industries. Pleased to recommend the book, part of what he says is:
Steven Feldman and Veronica Emmerich have created a great resource that answers many of these questions at a level that is easy to read and still complete enough to be helpful to medical experts.
